Microgrind X-CG27 is specifically engineered to prevent cobalt leaching, a common issue with tungsten carbide grinding. Cobalt is used as a binding agent in carbide tools, and traditional coolants can extract cobalt into the fluid, posing health risks and degrading coolant quality. Microgrind X-CG27 eliminates this risk, ensuring safer and longer-lasting grinding performance.
We recommend checking the concentration daily using a hand refractometer to ensure consistency. A stable concentration improves coolant efficiency and extends sump life. The recommended dilution range is 4–8%, and a refractometer conversion factor of 1.2 should be used.
Before changing to Microgrind X-CG27, we advise thoroughly cleaning your system with Bioflush System Cleaner. Ongoing support is available via our PROCARE Fluid Management Service, which includes tests for bacteria, fungus, pH, and tramp oil helping you stay compliant with HSE regulations.
