Microcore M6

Pennine Microcore M6 is a high-performance, solvent-based dewatering fluid designed to provide reliable short to medium-term corrosion protection. On contact, it rapidly displaces water from metal surfaces before the solvent carrier evaporates, leaving behind a thin, uniform protective film.

Ideal for components awaiting storage, packaging, or transportation, Microcore M6 also doubles as an effective cleaner and degreaser, removing residual oils and moisture prior to preservation. Its versatile application methods make it suitable for a wide range of industrial environments.

What is Microcore M6 used for?

Microcore M6 is a solvent-based dewatering fluid and corrosion preventative designed to protect metal components, particularly ferrous parts, between machining operations, during storage, or in transit. It helps displace moisture and leaves a thin protective film to prevent rust formation.

How long does Microcore M6 provide protection?

Microcore M6 is typically used for short- to medium-term indoor protection. Under suitable storage conditions, it can protect components for up to around 6 months, making it ideal for inter-operational or interim corrosion prevention.

How is Microcore M6 applied and removed?

Microcore M6 can be applied by spray, brush, or dip, depending on your process. It leaves a light, oily film that can be easily removed when required using alkaline cleaners, hydrocarbon solvents, or vapour degreasing methods.
