Microclean 130 AL is a low-foaming industrial cleaner designed for use where harsh caustic or solvent-based products aren’t suitable. It’s ideal for use on sensitive metals, like aluminium, copper or brass, which can be stained if cleaned with alkaline cleaners. It can also be used on other ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Microclean 130AL is designed to clean a variety of materials. It’s especially effective on sensitive materials such as aluminium, copper and brass, which can often be stained or damaged due to the highly caustic nature of stronger alkaline cleaners. Microclean 130 AL is a gentler formula that avoids etching or oxidising metal surfaces while still cleaning effectively.

Absolutely. While non-ferrous metals tend not to rust in the same way as iron or steel, they can be more reactive, which means they’re at risk of staining, discolouration, etching and oxidation when cleaning. Microclean 130 AL is formulated to clean sensitive metals safely, without any of the effects of harsher cleaners. At the same time, it’s versatile enough to be used on ferrous metals, making it a great choice for a wide range of applications.

Microclean 130 AL is well-suited for use in a range of industrial cleaning equipment, including:
- Rotary wash machines
- Tunnel washers
- Ultrasonic cleaning baths
Its low-foaming formula makes it highly effective in systems where an excessive amount of foam could cause problems with the performance or efficiency of cleaning equipment.
Microclean 130 AL is best used in large tunnel, rotary wash systems and ultrasonic cleaning baths or in applications where caustic cleaners aren’t suitable. Owing to its versatility, it can be used on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
For the best results, Microclean 130AL should be used at a concentration range of 3–5%. We would also recommend that the operating temperature be maintained between 65–75 °C. Water hardness is another factor that could impact performance. To this end, the optimal range is 0–400 ppm CaCO₃.
