$How do you assess Tramp Oil? 🤔 Tramp oil assessment is the least scientific & most subjective part of standard testing. HSE guidance is to maintain it at no more than 2%, but we really couldn't tell you what 2% looks like, so here are some things to consider… 👀 Visual Check: • How much of the sump surface can you see? • Is the coolant still or turbulent? • Has the machine been running or settling? • Is the emulsion creamy? • Does the refractometer show a crisp or hazy line? 🔍 What Can You Infer? • Are sump return channels filled with oil? • Are the covers thick with oil? • Is the machine old & leaky or new & well-maintained? • Are oil removal methods in place & effective? • Any recent spills or pipe bursts? 👉 Thursday 2nd January at 8.30am ~ our offices & trade counter reopen

👉Any orders placed after Friday 20th December will be delivered once we re-open in the New Year.

What's better than getting a new Freddy? Well getting two new Freddy's obviously! Especially custom coloured ones! 🎨🖌

Following the recent acquisition of a new site to the Paralloy Group Limited, we were asked for our help once again to assist with fluid recycling ♻️ and to reduce waste.

We recommended two options here; firstly the big brute Ecovac 300 which will be used for full fluid changes and interoperational filtering of coolant on a range of machines running on soluble oil.

Secondly, the deep hole borers on site spill quite an amount of neat cutting oil into drip trays during operation, which currently goes to waste. This will now be sucked up, filtered and reused with the easy to manoeuvre Micro Plus.

No, we haven't been hacked, and yes, we do encourage and assist our customers to use less oil. Why? Because it's the right thing to do, they seem to like it, and they keep coming back for less! (see what we did there 😏)
